founded Pop Up Wine in 2018 

and oversees all aspects of communication, including website development, brand image, and marketing strategy. 

She is responsible for the complete event management process, from sourcing and securing unique locations to promoting events and procuring high-quality ingredients. 

For wine selection, Paola relies on the expertise of sommelier Erica Tommasi, ensuring a curated and memorable tasting experience for all guests.

Erica Tommasi, from Valpolicella, Italy, developed her passion for wine early, working in vineyards during school holidays. She studied Natural Sciences and Ecology in Italy and deepened her wine knowledge through hospitality roles. In the UK, Erica enhanced her expertise with WSET courses and became a recognized mentor in wine tastings and pairings. In 2023, she collaborated with Paola from Pop Up Wine to organize the Bristol Wine Festival Christmas Edition, combining her extensive wine knowledge with Paola’s culinary expertise to craft unforgettable events. This partnership highlights Erica’s contribution to Pop Up Wine’s exceptional wine experiences.
